From left over backing fabric, make a drawstring bag or pillowcase to match your quilt. You can use the drawstring bag to store your quilt in, and is especially useful if you’re giving the quilt as a gift.

A one inch cross-hatching was used over the entire quilt. The center and outside border were treated in the same way, however a different thread colour was used on the boarders, as well as the center to keep uniformity of the patchwork design.

As the quilt also includes applique, each piece was outlined quilted to allow them to stand out amongst the cross-hatched background. The result is stunning.
